Armenian Gemological Laboratory and Academy, a division of ZANG Ltd.

Armenian Gemological Laboratory and Academy “Zang” was founded in 1997 and it is still functioning today. We first opened the laboratory where only experts were working, then in 2000 we opened the Academy. In 2001 we held our first graduation ceremony.

We had the great honor of welcoming the famous scientist, “Mother of Gemology”, chairwomen of the Gemology Institute of Moscow (НОУГИ) and director of the GIA in Moscow : Professor Julia Petrovna Solodova, on our first official ceremony. Since then Zang allowed numerous Armenians, Georgians, Iranians, Russians, Ukrainians, Americans, Indians, Belgians, and Israelians to graduate and complete their formation.
